| Creating a template file |
In order to setup a template file you must have a gallery layout to work with. The following is an example of the gallery layout we will use in this example:

In order to set this gallery template up to properly work with DS reciprical links, you must replace any recip link with the following code on your template "<---text link--->" as follows:

Now that we've setup our recips in our template, we can also replace other strings such as directory names, or even image names. To get a better idea of how this custom replacement works with a template, please goto the properties tab in the "gallery html generator" in DS. (Gallery HTML Generator from the options menu in DS) It should look like this:

1. Set the directory in which you want your generated html files to be put in.
2. Set the path to where your gallery template resides on your harddrive.
3. Set a unique file extension that will be appended to your html files names, *this must be atleast 1 character* (I usually use the date so its unique and changes everyday so you do not overwrite files from day to day as you make new galleries)
Replace Definitions:
4. The text that will be searched for and replaced in your gallery template. For instance "<---movie set number--->" (anything in these fields MUST be also located in your gallery template file) *this text should stay the same day to day*
5. The text you wish dreamsubmitter to inject into your galleries in place of the coinciding field (4). For instance if i put in the text "fita01" then when i generated the gallery DS would search my template and replace "<---movie set number--->"(4) with "fita01"(5) wherever it located it when generating the new gallery files. (This works good for day to day galleries where the image and movie names all stay the same and just the directory name changes.) Setting up templates to work with this process will save you lots of time editing your htmls day to day. *the text in this field would change daily to coincide with the gallery you are generating*
